seemed nice enough… of the four that pitched up for the meeting, three said they are prepared to try and make sure damien notes his homework down. one- a “crotchety” old man who probably hasn’t changed his teaching style in twenty years complained that he won’t have time and damien sits and draws in class instead of working and you know he doesn’t have time to nag damien and you know he’s losing marks and you know he has an assignment due and and and. when i asked if he would be prepared to email me details of assignments and so on he looked at me like i’d just grown antlers or something! i’m hoping bringing their attention to the fact that i am prepared to help out and that i know damien has problems will make them a little more aware. honestly- i can’t wait for south africa to pass legislation regarding adders at school. i hate to force teachers to help out- but if i must i bloody well will!
There Is Never An Excuse
One in three is not a statistic - one in three is a crying shame.
