And I do- they’re gorgeous and they’re the highest heels I have ever owned!
But they’re an absolute bitch to shop in! I wore them on wednesday to work, which is fine because I sit behind my laptop most of the day, but shopping for a few groceries and going to the chemist after work had me hobbling around like a dodo on crutches for the rest of the night! But make no mistake bunnies, I will wear them again…
My favourite radio station played part of my selection of ten songs today between 1:30 and 2pm in a segment they call The Music Power Half Hour! If you listen to them you would have hear mois… but they caught me by surprise so I couldn’t remember out the whole dedication that I sent to them! And to quote the DJ’s- a truly unbelievable selection! Thanx guys!
Here’s the dedication I sent to them with the songs:
Hellooooooo Ian and Sasha!
Love your work!
Here’s my list of ten- it’s taken me months (years even) to whittle it down to just these- if you let me list all my favourites you’d be playing it for weeks!
I’m 32, born and bred and living in Pretoria, and I’ve been a 5fm fan for about 20 years already!
That’s some scary ess-aitch-one-tee dudes!
I would like to ask you nicely to play my selection (apart from for my fabulous self of course) for my 15 year old son Damien- who is the very centre of my very small universe.
Then for my parents, for allowing me to become who I am, and for always being behind me and loving no matter what- love you madly!
For my siblings- sister B, sister C and da Bruvva, and for their significant others and all their kids- love you all madly- there’s no time or space to list all the reasons here!
For the rest of my family- near and far- what would Damien and I do without all of you!
And for all my friends… Local, international, personal and electronic… I love you all madly too!!
1. King Robbie: Me And My Monkey
2. The Darkness: I Believe In A Thing Called Love
3. Hazell Dean: They Say Its Gonna Rain
4. Wonderboom: Never Ever
5. Transvision Vamp: I Don’t Want Your Money
6. Aerosmith: Jaded
7. Space: The Female Of The Species
8. Enigma: 380 Midnight Mix Of Return To Innocence
(These were also included but didn’t get played: Six Was Nine’s Drop Dead Beautiful, Prince’s Raspberry Beret and Beeskraal’s Strate Van Pretoria)
So far so good. This was the first time I entered one of Clarity of Night’s fiction competitions, this one was called “The Lonely Moon Short Fiction Contest” and you can go and read my entry if you’d like.
I actually found out about Jason’s competitions via Terri when she participated months ago… and I kept missing them after that. I didn’t miss this one because I subscribed to his site feed to I actually got a notification this time!
Oh what would I do without electronic messaging!?!
Terri took the most amazing bike trip around Europe and she brought me back a souvenir from the Swarovski Crystal Gallery!
Don’t you just love virtual gifts- just like the rest of my dragon collection I can look at this one whenever I want to!!
Isn’t it too gorgeous!?!
Thanx Terri- you’re an absolute peach!
People Googled these and found me on the result list…
“exhibitionist flasher south africa”
“pictures of me wearing nappies”
“afrikaans wedding invitation template”
“naked teens with angel wings”
…a couple of them I can understand how they got to me, like ‘afrikaans’ and ‘South Africa’ and ‘angel’, but what on earth are people looking for!?!?! I mean- how’s Google supposed to know who ‘me’ is for goodness sake?
