Interview With The Infamous Knucklehead

I’ve seen this interview thing on a few blogs lately, so I thought I’d do one with Damien too.

And then I got more than a little nervous about doing this with the knucklehead, because I thought he’d be cocky for the sake of being cocky… and I suddenly remembered doing the same thing to my mommy darling once- in public! I used to go to the youth group at my church every Friday night, and the one night the parents were invited too. My mommy darling came along, and they then quizzed 5 or 6 of the parents- TV game show style- with how they would react to real life situations involving their children whilst the interviewee’s kids waited outside. I remember that night like it was yesterday. When it was my turn to answer the questions, I deliberately gave answers that I knew would shock the audience, answers that I knew were contrary to what my mommy darling had said even though I hadn’t heard her answers (I’d been outside trying to chat up a wanker I thought I liked, whilst he waited outside for friends to arrive). The few times I had the balls to look at my mom sitting in the audience, I could see she was hurt by my lame replies. I’m sorry mommy darling, I did know better.

This situation is very different, and fun, and I was right- the knucklehead was being silly when I asked him the questions, but I went ahead with it anyway. And I left out the question about his father (#21 on other people’s quizzes)

1. What is something mom always says to you? ~~sniggering~~ ” ‘NO!’ and ‘don’t forget the dishwasher/ the litter box/ your meds/ to empty the bin…'”

2. What makes mom happy? “Good school work, and the last year of our lives.”

3. What makes mom sad? “When I do something really stupid…”

4. How does your mom make you laugh? “We kinda do that together, turning things we hear into jokes or silly conversations, like the poisonous windsocks in Cape Town and the midget living in the ceiling…”

5. What did your mom like to do as a child? “I don’t know!”

6. How old is your mom? “30 something… 36?”

7. How tall is your mom? ~~giggling his head off~~ “About an inch shorter than me!”

8. What is her favorite thing to watch on TV? ~~cheats by checking what’s recorded on the PVR~~ “Graham Norton!”

9. What does your mom do when you’re not around? “I dunno… bake cupcakes?”

10. If your mom becomes famous, what will it be for? “Cupcakes”

11. What is your mom really good at? “Baking cupcakes, and spotting things that the government is supposed to take care of, and being my mom.”

12. What is your mom not very good at? “Chilling! You can’t do wrong turns! And PS2.”

13. What does your mom do for her job? “IT isn’t it?”

14. What is your mom’s favorite food? “Spaghetti, take aways, McDonalds…”

15. What makes you proud of your mom? “That you’re always there for me and help me out- and you’re cool.”

16. If your mom were a cartoon character, who would she be? “I dunno, I’ll have to think about it.”

17. What do you and your mom do together? “Mall crawling!”

18. How are you and your mom the same? “We both like metal.”

19. How are you and your mom different? “I’m a guy and you’re not!” ~~loud guffaws~~

20. How do you know your mom loves you? “No matter what goes wrong you’re always there, and you tell me.”

22. Where is your mom’s favorite place to go? “Visiting your friends and blogger meets.” ~~big smile~~
