Friday October 23rd was my sweet Glugster’s 34th birthday!!!
This may be a nausea inducing gushy-lovey-dovey post, since that’s what he has done to me…
You have been warned.
He is the love of my life.
He is the man who makes my dreams come true- even when I come up with new ones.
He gives me knee-buckling kisses.
He makes me happy.
He is the most unassuming, modest man I know.
He holds my handbag.
He has a big heart, and doesn’t hesitate to give.
He holds my hand.
He is a good influence on my knucklehead.
He encourages me.
He thinks I’m sexy.
I love you babe!!!
For his birthday, I gave my sweetheart a Ryobi Cordless Drill and a Foo Fighters CD! He hadn’t asked for either one, but he had mentioned once or twice how he’d like both of them, so I made a mental note and kept reminding myself so I could make a plan for his birthday.
We had the quietest most relaxed birthday weekend we’ve ever had in terms of weekends, let alone birthdays! We cheated on our diet considerably, but forgave ourselves for it pretty quickly as we were celebrating after all.
I baked chocolate cupcakes and decorated them with butter icing, and on Friday morning the knucklehead and I woke him up so he could blow out some candles and I could give him his pressies! Then we both went off to work- him leaving earlier than usual so his staff couldn’t surprise him. They managed to catch him unawares anyway later in the afternoon with cake and candles though!
On Saturday night we went to see Inglourious Basterds at Sandton. Can I just say- I love Ster Kinekor’s “lovenest” seats!! Almost all of their theatres have them in now, and it’s so comfy! I can now snuggle up to him without an armrest inbetween, and he’s not squashed into his seat anymore!!
We spent Sunday with his family at his parents’ house. I baked vanilla cupcakes and decorated them with chocolate butter icing, glacé cherries and coloured dragees, and they went down very well!
…come play on my rollercoaster…
