Blogging My Blog, Ruby Asked…

What is your most favourite place in the whole wide world… and why?

Okay, this is a drastically romantic, gag-inducing cliche, but in my Glugster’s arms is where I am happiest. I feel safe and loved and protected and it makes me all warm and fuzzy inside.

AND I know a lot of people, me included, always say that you’d never go and change anything you did because it makes you who you are. BUT if you HAD to go back and change one thing… as in somebody is holding a gun to your head and making you do it… what would you change?

Oh trust me Ruby, there is a LOT I would change about how I raised my knucklehead!! I made soooo many mistakes… I didn’t spend enough time with him just making happy memories. I took too long to acknowledge what I was doing wrong and start trying to stop doing things, or start doing the things I wasn’t doing.

I’m with you. I’ve made so many mistakes in my life but there are none I regret as much as those I have made with my kids. I can only hope that when they are old enough to understand, they will forgive me.
That said, I think you’ve raised a lovely young man and you should be proud, both of him and of yourself.

  2. Oh I love your first answer. In my love’s arms is also the best place for me.

I really take note of the things you more experienced moms have to say.

    Darling Angel,
You have done so well with your Knucklehead. Yes, you have made a couple of mistakes (we all do this) but I think that you have managed to turn things around relatively successfully. I am hoping that my parenting doesn’t send my kids into therapy but I realise that there is always a possibility of this. Ultimately we all do what we believe is best and only afterwards we realise that perhaps that wasn’t the best thing to do. I guess it’s all part of the parenting journey that we are on.
You did good with your son. Own it.
    xx

  7. My friend raves about your blog. And your cupcakes. I live too far to try your cupcakes, but I have checked out your blog. And added it to my Blogroll. Nice. Really.

I don’t think you should regret anything about the way you raised your son. He’s a sweet young man. You did well. 😀
