Photos I Found On My Phone…

This is quite possibly the most boring blog post I have ever posted…

I have fallen in love with Ambrosia instant custard (no colourants, no preservatives and no added flavours) and I spotted some other goodies in the Ambrosia range in Pick n Pay! I have yet to try them, but apparently their rice pudding is fanTAStic.

At the beginning of July I had a cat scratch across my wrist so I stuck a big plaster on it with some Germolene. When I pulled the plaster off it hurt like a mother trucker and I figured I was pulling the hair on my arm… I discovered the next morning that I had actually bruised myself when I pulled it off!

Something I am constantly on the look out for is spelling and grammar errors on signage because its getting ridiculously common! Don’t people check!?

Can you spot the error on this banner?

This one is a classic!

I buy a lot of cream cheese and I never check the packaging when I take it off the shelf… I will be doing so from now on.

I finally did something with the photos from the family photo shoot we did in March 2011!

  3. Oh I actually loved this post. THe Ambrosia people actually contacted me to do a blog review – I gave my standard conditions (honest review, no sugar coating) and never heard back from them. So I am wondering what the story is.

  8. MeeA says:

I wish I could buy the little cups of tapioca pudding here that we used to get in Dubai… I’ve never found a custard or mousse cup that tasted better! (Maybe I’ll check out these Ambrosia ones…)
Also, I have on more than one occasion found cream cheeses (especially mascarpone) – whole shelves full – in my local PnP that are already beyond their expiry dates. I did report it to a floor manager on one occasion, but I have no idea whether anything was done about it. I’ve always been a bit of a Monk (as in, the obsessive detective dude in the TV series) in that particular regard, so it’s not really going out of my way…

I rather enjoyed it actually. 🙂

I always check the packages when buying Greek/Plain yogurt, cream cheese and cottage cheese because the expiry dates have to be one month in the future for me to be able to buy the lot once a month. Too busy to go buy it once a week. But … I once bought some hummus and cream cheese which expiry date was still 3 weeks in the future and when I got home, it was the same as your picture above 🙁
I have also not tried those Instant custards yet but it is treat for me today, so me think I will buy those for tonight 🙂 Will report back.
    Have a good weekend

C.: if its the Ambrosia one you like when you’re in Germany then it will taste the same as they are importing it!

  13. C. says:

That wasn’t boring at all, actually exciting, I didn’t know they sell rice pudding in South Africa!!!! I always eat it when I am in Germany, but I have vanilla or cinnamon flavour, not sure of the ones here but will try it, but I can safely say wont be as good as Germany’s! but still excited to try, so thank you soooo much 🙂
