~~Favourite Childhood Book~~
When I was a little girl I had a whole lot of Enid Blyton’s Noddy books! I loved them and I read them over and over again. I used to make up my own tunes for the songs Noddy sang in the stories. I also loved Secret Seven and Famous Five (also Enid Blyton).
The Beatrix Potter stories, the ones that they published in those little white books, were books my sister B and I treasured – we each had a few of them.
I was very lucky growing up, books were important in our home and in our lives, and we all did a lot of reading. My Ouma Jean gave me some of the most beautiful books as birthday and Christmas gifts- classic stories like Treasure Island and Tarka the Otter, and I got to read all those beautiful stories to my son when he was growing up.
I also love the Beatrix Potter books. Enid Blyton was a firm favourite growing up – especially Famous Five.
