The Parentals Are In The Know…

Well, mine are…
I told them yesterday afternoon when I went to fetch Damien from them (he goes there after school).
My mommy darling broke her ankle in a fall just before New Year so she’s also home with my day (who is retired) so when I fetched the knucklehead yesterday they were both home.
We made small talk for a bit, and having put it off and chickening out, I shook myself mentally and informed them that my Glugster and I want to try and have a baby this year.
They were fine with the whole thing- as I knew they would be- in fact my mommy darling said we didn’t even have to tell them. I said I wanted to tell them because its taken me a while to wrap my head around it and that I didn’t want them thinking I’d gotten pregnant by accident again and and and…
S’all good!
They are just insisting that if we don’t have a girl, its gotta go right back, LOL!
Now its really official…

  1. Ah! Congrats! You two are so beautiful together and I can’t wait to hear the upcoming news! Another mini-Angel! I will be so happy for you! (Sorry for the neglect of late!)

  2. Ohhhh….I am so happy for you both! Been catching up on the reading here and I think your feelings are more normal than not. I mean, is there really a book of rules on how to feel with something this life changing, complicated and exciting all at the same time.

I think having children naturally brings out conflict within. So, you are ok….just go and enjoy the ride…literally! lol
It’s always a lot of fun practicing making a baby, now you can just go nuts. 🙂

I also think that women who have a child a bit later in life, enjoy it much more than when younger. I hear this all he time.

Congrats and I cannot wait to see a picture of that prego test with 2 lines!

  3. That’s great news 🙂 The great part is you already know you’re a wonderful mother so really, you now have nothing to worry about!

  4. Angel, don’t be scared. You’re already a great mom! I feel like stealing your one striped pic on the left today.

  5. It says a lot for your parents that Damien still wants to go around to your parents after school at his age. My boys won’t go to their grandparents unless its a special occasion. They get too bored!

  6. That’s great news! Good luck!

I’ve finally found a few fellow SA Bloggers courtesy of Doodles of A Journo. You were one of them!

    Enjoy your weekend!

  7. Oh my word! I am so happy for you! What awesome news! Hope to hear the happy news soon! Even if it’s another boy, your Damien might just be the best darned big brother ever!
